Nestled in the heart of the East Tennessee Mountains, an old plank building on a stone foundation sits by the side of a dirt road. Sawdust on the floor reveals the day’s activity. A solitary figure inspects the completed work one last time before going home to bed. This was the scene in 1929 at Rugel. beginning in 1929.Today, the old plank building still stands as a proud memorial to our birthplace. Although we now take up a lot more room, and sit by the side of a main highway, we still continue our tradition of excellence. beginning in 1929.

Mossy Creek Mercantile, (formerly Farmhouse Antiques) has been a staple in Jefferson City since 1997 and is home to more than 40 vendors.
Known for its large variety of antiques and collectibles, there’s always a reason to stop by because vendors sometimes change, and our longstanding shops are constantly bringing in new items.
Items range from antiques and vintage furniture, glassware, wood products, collectibles, tools and home goods.
